Coburn, Crimes of the Heart by Beth Henley and Dinner with Friends by Donald Margulies — as well as Pultizer Prize nominees Keely and Du by Jane Martin, Becky Shaw by Gina Gionfriddo and Omnium-Gatherum by Alexandra Gersten-Vassilaros and Theresa Rebeck. Other recent Humana Festival productions include UNIVERSES' Ameriville, The Civilians’ This Beautiful City, Pure Confidence by Carlyle Brown and Theresa Rebeck’s The Scene, as well as a three-play collaboration between Charles L. Mee, Anne Bogart and the SITI Company: bobrauschenbergamerica, Hotel Cassiopeia and Under Construction. Among the many awards Actors Theatre has received are the prestigious Margo Jones Award, Shubert Foundation's James N. Vaughan Memorial Award, and 1980 Tony Award for distinguished achievement.
OUR VISION
Because imagination and reflection are central to a great quality of life, because diverse voices and styles help us discover the commonalities that strengthen vibrant communities, because theatre offers both escape and engagement with the world: Live theatre is an essential part of a healthy culture. Because Actors Theatre values collaboration, creativity and the wide range of human experience, we bring people through theatre to celebrate, challenge and explore who we are.
